On Wednesday, February 8, Scott Lee, VP of Marketing and Development for the Foundation, had the opportunity to speak about PFEW to the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce. Also speaking was Alexis Mock, senior at Tunkhannock High School and 2016 PFEW graduate. Scott gave an overview of the program, focusing on the need, merit, and structure of the program, and Alexis regaled the audience with her personal story and the powerful and lasting impact PFEW had on her future. A lively question and answer period followed the discussion. Thanks to Gina Suydam, President of the Wyoming County Chamber of Commerce, for allowing us to speak. It was a great event! A BIG thank you to LeTort Trust and ABC27 News!

One of our most passionate supporters are the wonderful people at LeTort Trust in Camp Hill PA. Over the years Katie Clark, President at LeTort, has sponsored hundreds of students to attend PFEW. Recently, Katie got us in touch with Flora Posteraro at ABC27 News in Harrisburg, to do a story about LeTort's passion for PFEW and why others should consider supporting local students. Thank you so much to LeTort Trust and ABC27 for the wonderful story! We look forward to welcoming many more students to PFEW as a result of your efforts! Click here to see the segment.

Erie Gives 2016
On Tuesday, August 9th, The Erie Community Foundation will again be hosting its "Erie Gives" day. Anyone who makes a contribution via credit/debit card (Visa, Master Card or Discover) that day will have their gift also generate a partial match for PFEW 2017. As always, your contribution will continue to go to your local students, with the matching funds going to the Scholarship Pool for PFEW 2017. If you click here, you will be taken to The Erie Community Foundation website for additional information.
The whole process is very easy, takes only a few moments, and we will appreciate anything you might be able to donate. If you are planning on making a gift for 2017 students anyway, this is a great way to leverage that gift. Thanks so much - you may also call or email us if you have additional questions about Erie Gives. Thank you!
