Jen Croneberger, one of our fabulous PFEW Speakers, recently delivered a powerful TEDx talk on the epidemic of loneliness in this increasingly digital age. She weaves a tapestry of heartfelt stories and personal testimony with effective tips on how to combat this ever-increasing problem. We are proud to have Jen as a member of our PFEW family. UBCC Foodie

The Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce recently held their annual Foodie event, proceeds from which send local students to PFEW. Thanks to Chamber Executive Director Danielle Bodnar for this wonderful event and to the Bucks County Herald for the terrific publicity. Read more.

inBUSINESS Magazine Article

This month, PFEW was featured in the inBUSINESS Magazine, a quarterly publication of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce. Huge thank you to Pam Henshall, president of the Greater Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, for featuring PFEW this month. Pam is an enthusiastic supporter of the program and a perennial PFEW competition Judge. (The PFEW article is on page 27).

PFEW is on the Radio!

Thanks to show host Chad Amond, President & CEO of the Westmoreland Chamber of Commerce and FFEE board member, and our two PFEW graduates, AJ Rock and Mike McVay for sharing their PFEW story with all of Westmoreland County!


Lesley Kistner, VP, Communications/Marketing for the Chamber of Business and Industry of Centre County (CBICC), wrote a great article about PFEW for the CBICC Centre Connection newsletter. The newsletter is distributed to all CBICC members and throughout the Centre County business community. Lesley has served for many years as a Company Advisor, and has also served as a competition Judge at PFEW. Huge thanks to Vern Squier, President & CEO of the CBICC, for being a staunch and loyal supporter of PFEW and for spreading the word about PFEW to his membership! Each year, the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce hosts their very popular “Foodie” event, which brings the local business community together to share local food and drink in a casual, fun atmosphere. The proceeds from this event are earmarked for PFEW scholarships for local students. Each fall the Chamber hosts a celebratory breakfast for the students they sponsor this summer, and four PFEW graduates took to the podium to talk about their PFEW experience. Huge thanks to the chamber and the Foodie Committee, for all they do for PFEW and the young people in your area!


This summer, Joe Battista, head coach of the Penn State Nittany Lion hockey team, had the opportunity to spend the day at PFEW. Little did he know what he was in for when he arrived on campus. Suffice it to say he was profoundly impacted by what he experienced. Click here to read the article he wrote about his time with us. Any graduate of PFEW who is accepted into either Lycoming College or Pennsylvania College of Technology is awarded scholarships to attend their that are above and beyond any financial aid you might receive! Lycoming College offers $20,000 ($5,000/year over 4 years) and Penn College offers $8,000 ($2,000/year over 4 years). For more information click here.
