I was initially nervous to be a Company Advisor to a class full of students who would look to me for guidance.... However, this feeling quickly went away after the first day as everyone made me feel like I was part of the PFEW family.
Simply put, there are a hundred different reasons that I choose to volunteer a week at PFEW, and collectively they give me energy and experience that enables me to be a stronger leader and a better individual in my role at my job and in life.
Pat first came to PFEW as a Speaker, knowing very little about the program. So impressed was she with what she saw that first year, she has been coming back and devoting a week of her summer as a Company Advisor ever since.
PFEW planted the seed of entrepreneurship, and I began to realize that I could combine my love of English and writing (my passion) with a business as an entrepreneur.
PFEW is a remarkable opportunity and one that frequently forges lifelong friendships between students and Advisors. The following spotlight is a wonderful story of a chance meeting turned into a life-long relationship.
