The Foundation for Free Enterprise Education is very pleased to work with the SIFMA Foundation in offering The Stock Market Game (SMG) in the state of Pennsylvania!
Prizes are awarded for the competitive sessions based on region and grade-level groupings. While teachers are not eligible for prizes, we encourage them to compete against their students as well!
We're glad you asked! It's an exciting program that allows students to experience the thrill of investing, without all the risk of losing real money. They get $100,000 of virtual cash that they can use to invest in stocks, bonds, etc. They are in control of their fortune and compete with other teams from their region and across the state. They learn what it means to work as a team as they, together, rejoice in their successes and learn from their mistakes. Through The Stock Market Game, they gain a fundamental understanding of investing and how you can make your money work for you!

The registration fee is $20 for each team for the fall, spring and enrichment sessions. The fee for the year-long session is $30. Limited scholarships are also available. Teacher prep sessions are free and give you an opportunity to try out SMG before you sign up your classes.
In addition, each teacher that signs up student teams can create his or her own portfolio to interact with the class. This team will also not be billed. All invoices will be emailed a couple of weeks into the start of the session.
Teachers register their students in one of the three grade-based divisions:
