Volunteers are a very large and critical part of our programs. Over the course of the year, over 200 business professionals from across the state of Pennsylvania donate their time to any number of our volunteer roles. Volunteers log over 10,000 hours annually, and the number of adults willing to give of their time, talent, and sponsorship to help these students learn about free enterprise always leaves a lasting impression on them.
As a CA, you will mentor a team of high school students and have the opportunity to enhance your own leadership skills while you share your personal expertise and experiences.
At the end of our week-long competition, there are two opportunities to judge our student teams. A Stockholders Annual Meeting or the Advertising Campaign.
Inspire students with your stories of success, teamwork, leadership, and lessons learned. Topics can range from leadership, entrepreneurship, business ethics, technology in the workplace, and more.
Your story could teach life lessons, inspire others into action, and even enable widespread change. The wisdom and life skills you have learned over the years could help others as they are on this incredible journey called life. If you would like to share your story for future generations to benefit from, please visit our Become a Volunteer page for more information and signup to be considered for our next featured video.
Sharing is caring. If you find our content valuable, or if you know of someone who might benefit from our videos, please take a moment to share our videos with a teacher, student, or anyone who might be interested. Along with our Accompaniment Workbook, we believe our Speaker Series could be an incredible teaching tool for young and old alike – and the best part is…it's FREE!
Every Fall and Spring, SMG students are invited to submit an essay as part of the national InvestWrite essay competition offered through the SIFMA Foundation. Members of the business community are needed to read and judge essays. Sign up now to volunteer as an InvestWrite Judge.
